Suddenly a twinkle and sparkling dust reveal the Princess of the fairies.
This day was expected with a skip of the heartbeat and building anticipation because children's hearts yearn to escape into a magical ethereal world...
For the April's Fool mascquerade Eva was a Fairy Princess.
She's wearing a pleated blouse with an Obi belt and a two-layered skirt. The bottom part is velvet while the upper is organza. She didn't have any particular wishes of how to paint her face, so I painted it on the spur of the moment.
However, regarding her hairstyle she wished a braid on one side and little whirlpools on the other. Fascinator added for accentuated effect.
My daughter...my beauty... my fairy princess...
you have a beautiful daughter. I love the face painting.

Beautiful photos, she is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect costume and I also love the facepainting. I am going to show these photos to Lily in the morning, can't wait.
ReplyDeleteShe has got beautiful eyes!
ReplyDelete... he he your husband better be on guard, there are going to be a lot of boys coming around, when she hits her teens ☺
Thank you all!
ReplyDeleteKJ: The costume was a big hit for her and even bigger for me and satisfactory of course, when she asked me if she could wear them (blouse, skirt) afterwards. We matched the blouse with jeans and it's just gorgeous and I think we will find good use for the skirt although it appears more formal and it would fit special occasions.
Maja: Me and my husband are very well aware that this one is going to give us a lot of headache and there will be a lot of broken hearts... My husband cracks me up when he describes how he is going to make a bench in front of the house to wait for her .. I hope he doesn't buy a shotgun :)
oh Maya your princess is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThe costume is lovely and the face paint give it that special touch!
She certainly if s beautiful princess and has the MOST beautiful big brown eyes. She looka a lot like you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea for a celebration. When I was in school we celebrated May 1, for May Day and the Virgin Mary. The nuns didn't let us dress up or paint our faces though!
xx, Carol
Thanks Carol! Eva doesn't have brown eyes. Her eyes are incredible mixture of the lightest blue and gray which sometimes appears to be greenish gray. Just like Elizabeth Taylor's eyes.
