Here is a glimpse of one of the pieces I made for the Vintage Fall Collection.
It is inspired by granny squares which hold a special place in my heart, although it would be more precise to say granny triangles.
I love this collar because it can spruce up a plain dress or a cardigan. The real thing for bohemian souls.
While on the topic of granny squares I am in the process of choosing colors for a baby boy (due to see the world next week) granny blanket but I am having doubts selecting the "real" granny for the purpose. Check out my grannies
here.
Oh wow Maya, what an intricate piece of work this is, your amazingly beautiful collar makes any plain shirt look like designer work!

ReplyDeleteOh goodness that is SO PRETTY, Maya! And it's perfect combined with the tube top too.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Wow! I love it! Found you from Hookin' on Hump Day.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work and photo shoot, it looks like you have sunny skies in your parts.
ReplyDeletePS How exciting about a baby boy! wishing a safe and healthy delivery for mum.
Beautiful collar and beautiful model! :)
ReplyDeleteWaiting to see the colours you will choose for the blanket! BTW: there are a lot of baby boys arriving in these days! I just realized a "Welcome Baby" bow for my sister and a light-blue ring sling for a friend, and also cross-stitching bibs for another boy arriving in November!
This is gorgeous! So incredibly elegant! You are a beautiful crocheter!

That is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteFirst time for me to visit your blog (I'll be back) and I see you call yourself a "struggling crocheter" ... but your work is beautiful!! Where's the struggle?
I do love collars and they are perfect r this time of year. I have some vintage ones, am itching to incorporate then into some clothing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday
@ Hilary: Thanks for the lovely comment! When I was writing the 'About me" info years back, I had my grandma in mind who was a MASTER crocheter (one of these days I am going to write a post about her and show the masterpieces she created)and compared to her skills it did feel as I was struggling - hence the statement. I've changed it thanks to you and I believe my grandma would concur :)
ReplyDeleteOh Maya, you just never disappoint! This is yet another gorgeous project. I love your vintage, bohemian style. This is so creative! Thanks for sharing at Hookin On Hump Day!
