Hello friends and Happy July!
We are elbows deep in preparation of our holiday which will start this weekend and the excitement is so tangible, you can almost trip on it :)
Today I am showing off my Crocheted Collar Necklace (these beauties - there are also grey and black ones - lived to see the day having been made in winter!) which I must say is an absolutely adorable piece for someone like me who is crazy about vintage collars. What I love most about it is that you can put it on over a simple tee, blouse or a dress and it changes it dramatically.
Don't you agree?
Until soon!
Very sweet! I like all the intricate stitches.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a great idea to make it into a necklace. Hee, I love that!
ReplyDeleteI have a few vintage lace collars that would easily be fashioned into necklaces too. Fab idea Maya!
These collars are just darling, beautiful work and addition o summer tees. I look forward to hearing about your vacation, make lots of memories!
ReplyDeleteLove your collar. My daughter (elementary art teacher) and I love the peter pan collars:) Pinning to my style board and sharing on Facebook. Stop by http://www.sewsweetvintage.com/2013/07/bicycle-basket-up-cycle.html
ReplyDeleteThese are very fashionable right now (although they're made of lace and pearls), love your crochet version Maya, white is always very elegant!

ReplyDelete@creacarmen: No digital pattern available. I think I made it from a Japanese magazine, but I am not sure. This was made in early winter. Sorry!
