Crochet Wall Hanger DIY

Hi guys!
Today I have a weekend project to share with you.
An interesting wall hanger.

For this project you need plastic or wooden rings, a (wooden) rod and crocheted flowers.

Crochet the wooden rings. I have a tutorial for this here.

Pattern for the flowers:

Chain 6 and join to make ring.
Rnd 1: ch3,sk 1, sc1 - you will get 3 chains
Rnd 2: ch1 and on the chain sc1,hdc1,3dc,hdc1,sc1
Repeat this pattern for all 3 chains.

Rnd 3: ch2 and sc on the first hdc stitch on the chain, ch3 and sc on the second hdc on the chain below. Repeat this pattern around. You will get six such chains.
Rnd 4: repeat rnd 2. Use these as small flowers. For the big flower, go to rnd 5.
Rnd 5: {we will make chains again} ch3 and sl st on the second (center) dc of the previous round. Next, ch5 and sc on the dc of the next petal.

Rnd 6: ch1 and on the chain sc1,hdc1,5dc,hdc1,sc1
Repeat this pattern for all 6 chains.

And that is it!
Make all 6 rounds for the big flowers or to round 4 for the small flowers.

Work on the arrangement of the rings and flowers for your hanger.

Attach flowers to rings. I chose to make a chain instead using a simple yarn thread to join them. Attach the line to the rod.

Have fun making it!

  3. This is super cute! I love how this turned out and what a great way to use up leftover yarn from other projects. I'll have to show it to my sister (she's the crocheter in the family).
