Hello, hello. Are you interested in making super cute and easy earrings to spice up the summer? Well, you are in the right place.
This is not the first time I make granny jewelry. I simply love their delicateness and attractiveness. They are not too much - just enough to have that perfect little detail to accessorize your appearance.
What you need:
1. Embroidery floss - 2 in different / contrasting colors and 1.7 mm hook
2. Thin metal chain (length depends on personal preference)
3. Jump rings (6) and earring hooks (2)
Let's start!
With color A, chain 5 and join to make ring.
Round 1: In the ring sc 5, then (you do not work the stitches, but crochet directly into the ring!) ch 3, dc2, ch3, sl st in the ring. Petal #1 is done. Repeat this pattern to make 4 petals. Pull floss, tie a knot and weave the tails.
Insert color B between petals, ch3, sc in the middle of the petal, ch 3 more and sl st in between the petals. Repeat this pattern for all 4 petals.
We will be filling these chains in round 2.
So, in the first part of the chain, sc1, hdc1, dc1, then on the other side of the chain (after the middle of the petal) reverse the pattern: dc1, hdc1, sc1. Repeat this pattern for all petals in the round.
Assembly.
Take the chain and attach one granny on both ends of the chain. Mine is 12 cm / 4.7".
Take the hook and attach it near one of the grannies to get a gradient look. I attached the hook at 4.5 / 1.8" of the chain length.
And that is it. Easy and cute!
Hope you like it and make a pair for yourself. I am sure these can be a fantastic gift too!
Behold my granny obsession :)
