Guys, today we are making this necklace! It's going to be fun, I know it :)
To add a bit of bohemian glam to your appearance it doesn't have to cost you a lot if you can make it yourself.
Let's look at the things you need:
1. One (1) metal chandelier component (pendant holder);
2. Three (3) long / rectangular metal filigree pendants;
3. Two (2) round,metal filigree pendants;
4. Eight (8) round, metal filigree coins;
5. Not shown but used: one (1) metal filigree bead, one (1) tassel and one filigree capped pom-pom, jump rings and a chain / lobster clip.
Make it:
My chandelier component has 7 holders. I attached the long / rectangular pendants in the center.
Attach the round pendants at both ends.
Connect the coins - four at each side and then attach them to the main pendant.
On one side attach the metal bead and the tassel.
To make the tassel, use this tutorial here.
Attach a capped pom-pom on the other side.
To make the jersey pom, use this tutorial here. Mind to use the point finger only to make it small.
This necklace is such a gorgeous pretty thing :) The pompom is such a sweet tough and the coins are beautiful. I was so inspired by your bohemian series that I wrote a tutorial on a boho tassel necklace for Favecrafts some time ago
ReplyDeleteThank you on the sweetest comment Divya. I am so happy it inspired you and cannot stop wondering how I missed that post. Have you also posted it on your blog?
DeleteVery cool necklace, Maya. Love the coins, and the red tassel and pom pom add a pop of bright colour.
ReplyDeleteThank yuou dear Kim! We tried adding more tassels and beads but we didn't like how it looked si we stuck to 'less is more' :)
DeleteMaya, this is lovely. I love making jewelry I used to sell my creations in my gift shops years ago. BoHo Chic has been my go to look these days. Thanks for sharing with us at #SimplifyWednesdays. I can't wait to see what you shared next week!

Thank you Carla! I kind of miss making jewelry - had a period of crochet only, so now I feel a bit rejuvenated with the latest textile jewelry I 've been making.
DeleteThank you for visiting!
