Genesis Kimono
UPDATE July 2022- Sadly, Hooked on Tilly removed all her patterns and closed all her social media, so the Genesis Kimono is no longer available
Browsing through my pinterest feed, I couldn't help but notice how summer crochet kimonos are on the rise, so I delved more into the subject (side note: being constantly distracted from what I am currently working on - and quite willing to drop everything and crochet .. a kimono! - which, mark my word, will never happen I tell you!), I found for your and my pleasure, five lovely kimonos and the greatest thing is that they are FREE!
My most favourite is the first above (my,my... the colors are gorgeous!) which is graciously shared by Hooked on Tilly and hers is also this one below. This girl is amazing! Thank you Bailey!
Mama in a Stitch offered this Cascading Kimono
Erica named hers a Water's Edge Kimono
and lastly, there is Chi Wei's Diamonds Kimono
Maybe this distraction will be fruitful for you?
The first picture is my favourite, those colours! Might be tempted to try and make one for myself...
ReplyDeleteYou're good in finding treasures on Pinterest by the way!
Have a very nice weekend,
Sigrid
My Gosh! I got crazy when I saw the very first one in my feed!
DeleteI love the last one, as I prefer neutral colours. Too bad the weather here is too hot to wear these in the summer! Or else—
ReplyDeleteThe last one can be worn over some long sleeved swetashirt in the winter :)
ReplyDeleteSurely you could whip up that gorgeous first one in next to no time....you know you want to!
ReplyDeleteHaha.. yes. But I am secretly working on something else ;)
DeleteThese are all so pretty! I love the Genesis Kimono. The color combo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love them all :) Thanks for sharing at the To Grandma's house we go link party!
ReplyDeleteI am so sad the Genesis Kimono is no longer available. I have searched and searched. When I finally found a link to it on Etsy it says the pattern is all sold out. I wish I could find the creator because my daughter is really dying for this Kimono. I will pay for the pattern does anyone have the pattern or know who originally created the pattern so I can send them money and get a copy. Please can someone help me. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for drawing my attention to this. I just checked and found out that the designer behind Hooked on Tilly, had withdrawn all her online patterns and closed all social media. Sorry about this! I've just updated this information in the post.
