I have them listed in my shop here and here.

Vintage Crochet Inspiration

What comes first to your mind when vintage crochet is mentioned? Is it potholders, doilies or blouses?

For me it's tablecloths and doilies. My grandma was a master crocheter and she made enormously big and mindbogglingly intricate and complex tablecloths and centerpieces. Not to mention the tons of doilies she made to relax between projects! Now that I have my own small crochet business I realize the time, effort, energy and love she invested in each of her crochet pieces. Being the first of her 5 granddaughters, I had the honor of inheriting many of her creations and the other reason is that my cousins weren't as madly in love with them as I was.

On that note, I recently received an order for the above vintage inspired bracelet / cuff and though I almost never accept orders due to my hectic working schedule, I felt the vintage crochet flame devouring me and I accepted it. This being one of my most favourite bracelets, I just couldn't say no.

I also follow the vintage crochet on instagram and I chose several pieces to make an inspiration board. Enjoy!

Sweet Flower Warmers - crochet pattern

Happy Saturday!

I have a new pattern for these fingerless warmers that are part of my Little Women  Collection. Of all the March sisters, I think these would be most suitable for the character of Beth or Meg.

The pattern is easy to follow as the instructions are accompanied by lots of pictures. They are made combining two weights of yarn - worsted and fine and can be made with the lace edge up or down which I believe makes them even more interesting and appealing. I had the idea for these for so long, I am immensely happy I finally realized it!

The pattern is in my etsy and ravelry shops.

Crochet Pillows & Cushions Inspiration

Via

Crochet pillows can add quite a significant touch to a room, a feel of warmth and coziness.

In my work as a crochet designer, I am sad to admit that I have made just a handful of crochet pillows - mostly as gifts and some for my daughter's room. I grew up in a household filled with amazing embroidered pillows. Memories of how they can magically transform a room will never fade away.

Today I am sharing a roundup of crochet pillows from different, divinely talented designers, who offered these as free patterns. Maybe you too find inspiration in these?

St.Valentine's Decoration Ideas

Ah, St.Valentine's! My daughter is counting down the days till her birthday. She just reminded me today there were three days left, can you believe that? I thought she wouldn't be into it as fervently as she was as a teenager, but this young lady simply doesn't let go! :)

We are going to have the closest family over for cake and drinks and she has already organized a small party at a club with her friends.

I am making a sweet surprise for her and here I mean a literally "sweet" surprise - so we''ll see how that one will turn out.

Today I am sharing ideas I was attracted to on pinterest and you can find the credits for these all on my board here.

Shabby Chic Dream Necklace - Mix & Match

De-cluttering my crochet treasure box, I set on making another mix and match.

My older followers might remember the tutorial I made for this wonderful Victorian necklace which I didn't put in the shop because it didn't appeal to me when put onto a blouse - I was not satisfied how it hung - the edging of it to be more precise, so I left it aside.
The there was this beaded tribal necklace that did not undergo any further beautifying like the other of its sisters did, so when I put them together I realized these two are a perfect match - at least to me :)
So with one stroke I saved both.

I sewed the beaded necklace onto the lace I wasn't satisfied with and the shabby chic dream necklace was born.

Now, onto new crochet adventures we set!

Loop Crochet Neckwarmer

This loop crochet neckwarmer was the first thing I was inspired to make when I saw the Little Women poster for the film, but somehow it took the longest to finish it.

Last year I made some loop crochet accessories, and to my complete delight, it turned out to be quite an enjoyable and refreshing mindless crochet where I can thoroughly relax and put my brain at ease from a heavy workload day.

We've also had a snowfall yesterday, for the first time this winter and I am hoping for even more snow so that we could have a magical photo shoot for the lovelies of this collection.

The inspiration  came from something similar Amy wears in the film, although hers appears to be a ruffled neck piece.

St.Valentine's Day Inspiring Crochet Ideas - free patterns

Ah February! A month that is always inevitably associated with love. For my new readers, it is very special for us, because our first-born was born on St.Valentine's and she'll be turning 19 this year. Understandably, we succumb to it and make it a bit wee too over festive over here :)

As a crocheter, I love to explore everything new in crochet designs, as a crafter I cannot avoid all the beautiful projects people come up with for the day. So, there is another post dedicated for crafts only next week.

The patterns I chose for this year's Valentine include the amazing heart stitch by MyPicot above.

I fell in love with this granny square heart decoration by Bauta Witch.

Emma from Lulu Loves shared the pattern for this lovely ruffled heart.

Next I chose this beautiful heart garland by Yarnspirations.

This is a mix of crochet 'n craft. Crochet trim paper hearts following Big A Little A's tutorial.

And lastly, a chart I translated for a crochet heart last year.

Here you can find a roundup of some of my St. Valentine's Day crochet projects I compiled a couple of years ago.

What I Have Pinned Lately #20

My pinterest has been burning with fantastic ideas lately and I've been pinning like crazy. This mind blowing whirlpool literally doesn't let me get into a creative rut.

The selection I chose for today's roundup include this amazing hygge wrap which is a free pattern from yarnspirations.

Mama in a stitch has shared this Bobbles in a Circle tote bag and I can totally see it as a spring hit!

Next is this one skein shawl by Annie Design crochet which is also free! Yay! Love the variegated yarn she chose for it. It looks flame-y!

The next two sweaters are for inspiration only. Sadly.

Check my other pins here. You may find something that catches your fancy!
