Although we have visited Italy 4 times, we have never visited Tuscany and it has been forever on my bucket list. I do wish we visit it some day. Searching for some photos on my external hard drive, I came upon some of the albums from our Italian travels and many contained photos of houses with hanging flowers from their windows. Hence my inspiration for this bag. Not to mention that I have a soft heart for the Under the Tuscan Sun film :)
The bag is made using two squares and decorated with lovely roses and vines. The decorative pattern is quite charming and eye-catching and it is also easy and repetitive.
The pattern is in my Etsy and Ravelry shops.
Such pretty crochet, Maya, and such an oh-so-pretty bag. I don't suppose anyone will be travelling to other countries for a while, but I am sure you will return to Italy one day.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim! I guess no one will, but it's always good to dream away...

DeleteYou made a beautiful bag and I like the flowers attached on the side!
ReplyDeleteYour bag is stunning, however, the runner under the bag really caught my eye. Is this your creation? If so, is there a pattern available?
ReplyDeleteHi Jane! Thank you on the lovely comment. No, the runner is my MIL's mother's work. There is no pattern for this gorgeous thing. I swoon everytime I see it :)
DeleteMaya, you have a real treasure... I swoon too!
