Around this time last year, we were on the road, traveling to Istanbul and during the car-ride I made this scarf and named it after the city, but when we came to the photo-shoot location, Eva's posing reminded me of the Penelope-in-waiting, so the name stuck with me.
So here it is - the Penelope scarf which is immensely versatile and can be styled in numerous ways, but we like it best wrapped around the neck, with the fringes falling in layers. The lace crochet pattern gives it a rich and textured appearance and makes for a truly unique piece.
So pretty, Maya!

Thank you Michelle!
DeleteGreat job! I love sewing, but I’ve never crocheted before. Is something like this scarf very complicated?
ReplyDeleteNot for the average crocheter :)
DeleteI used to sew a lot years back, but I am exclusively hooked to crochet right now :)
She looks so pretty in this photoshot! The name of the scarf seems accurate and the fringes fallin in layers creates an appealing look.
