I love hats! Especially vintage ones, and if I have to choose a type, that would be a cloche hat, closely followed by the beret and the fedora. But because of my head shape (which I highly detest) and the wild mane that I have, I rarely wear one.
Eva on the other hand, has such a lovely shaped head, and so far I haven't met a hat that didn't fit her perfectly.
When designing this one, I wanted to make a simple hat where the accent would be on the gigantic flower, so here I present you the Margot hat! It is a beanie hat that has little folds at the crown part that narrow down into a perfect band at the end.
The pattern employs basic crochet stitches and it does not go farther than my favourite double crochet.
The pattern is here.
Do you wear hats? What's your favourite type?
You made such a pretty hat Maya. It looks beautiful on Eva.
