Link Parties - Always a "Yay"

Do you join link parties?
I do and I am thankful for the amount of time and effort other creative bloggers take to host link parties as those are not only a great way to learn a new craft, try a new recipe or sparkle your creativity, but they are also a fantastic tool to get to know other bloggers and at the same time present yourself/ show your content in front of a (probably) newer and wider audience.

If you are not familiar as to what a link party is, it is a place on a blog where everyone can add links to their own blog posts. There are usually guidelines or rules for adding projects. The party may be limited to DIY, crochet, sewing, crafts, food recipes, etc. or may be open for any projects.

These link parties usually reoccur weekly and start on the same day and time each week. Every link party will be open for links for 1-3 days, but may be open for a longer or shorter time depending on the host. With each new party, the host selects several links/posts from the previous party to feature in the new party.

I have had the pleasure and the honor of being featured numerous times on my favorite blogs, for which I am immensely grateful.

  1. Haven't heard of any of those link parties or many of the blogs. In my early blogging days, I did join link parties. But I stopped doing so because I feel a need to visit every single person who links up and depending on the size of the "party", that can take a while. Plus, others don't always feel the need to reciprocate. I prefer to interact with the friends who have remained constant over my 13 years of blogging. Of course, some have jumped over to IG and completely abandoned blogging, and in that instance, there is room for new blog friends to be made. Have had new visitors lately so maybe more people are taking up or returning to blogging. Everything seems to constantly be changing. Take care.

    1. Thank you for sharing Tammy! Yes, tons of bloggers contribute to these parties, but I don't visit each and every one of them. I usually browse through the party and visit thise that catch my attention. I have never truly attached myself to instagram, and prefer blogging rather than instagramming. My blog will remain my true love.

  2. I used to participate in Link parties religiously but soon most blogs that I followed stopped hosting. So I thank you for this new list and I will try visiting each of them.
