Beautiful quilts

I've been entertaining myself with the idea of making a quilt for years now, hoping that one beautiful day it will actually happen. I shudder at the thought that it might never happen because it would be very sad indeed.

Maybe it'll happen when I am old and wrinkled,eh?

To keep the flame alive I visit several "quilt blogs" I really enjoy. Here are some of my favourites. Real masterpieces.

Yes, I love quilts -- and would love to make one, but I have zero sewing ability -- no hand sewing (plus don't have patience for long term projects) and never learned how to use a machine. I do love looking at them though. The annual quilt show here is this weekend but we will be away. Have a good week. Tammy

Oh, you should give quilting a try, Maya. Just start with a simple patchwork design and a small finished size, that way you won't be too overwhelmed. I started with making a small table topper and wall hangings. As I became familiar with the process, I went bigger. If you can sew a straight seam, you can quilt! :o)

I would love to help you, so if you want to ask any questions about quilting, I'm here for you.

P.S. I'm so flattered to see my blog among those you like to visit.

Oh you will definitely get round to make your own quilt one day Maya. Just think of it this way, you are now simply replenishing your source of inspiration ;-) Have a lovely evening!
