Crochet Bead Earrings - Xmas Gifts Making

Are you ready for some lovely gifts making?
Join me in making these sweet earrings.

What you need:

* crocheted beads - 2 cm big or other size but you have to use adequate pin
{you can buy these at the jewelry supply / craft store} or make them yourself using this tutorial.
* 6 pearl beads /size 1 cm
* 10 pearl bead caps and 2 bigger flowery caps
* 6 eye pins
* 4 jump rings and
* 2 earring hooks
Nose pliers also necessary.

Step 1: String /Pin your beads

Don't let the picture misguide you. These are ordinary pins, but for our earrings you need eye pins. Take an eye pin, slide the bead cap, slide the pearl bead, add another cap, then take the nose pliers and fold the pin to make an eye. One pearl bead pinned and capped. Make another one.

Step 2: Join the beads

Join the beads with a jump ring. Attach an eye pin to one of the pearl beads.

Step 3: String the crochet bead

With eye pin attached, slide in the bigger (floral or whatever you find/have) bead cap, slide in the crochet bead. Holding the whole thing tightly, add the pearl bead, cap it and use the pliers to make an eye.

Step 4: Finish it up

Next, attach a jump ring and the earring hook and your earring is done! I don't think it can get easier than this!
Make the second earring.

Do you like them? You can whip them up if in need of a last (or not) minute gift and they surely make a fantastic stocking filler.

You can experiment with larger / different size beads and caps to get a variety of designs.

Flower Crochet Earrings - free pattern

Happy Friday guys!
I have the perfect weekend project if you could spare a little time. We are going to make flower crocheted earrings spiced up with beads.

Get ready!

Supplies:

1. Crochet earrings (pattern below)
2. Beads and jump rings (optional and depending on earrings' length)
3. Earring hooks

Crochet Earrings Pattern

Thread and hook: I used  doubled ecru thread (40) and a 1.7 mm hook.
Crochet stitches: chaining and slip stitching only!
Length: optional (ours - 11 cm / 4.3").

Ch5 and sl st in the first st.  First petal made. Ch 5 and sl st in the 1st st of the second petal. Repeat this 3 more times to get 5 petals.

When all 5 are made, sl st in the very first petal you made.
Next, chain 10. Five for the body and five for the petal of the next flower. Repeat pattern until you achieve desired length of earrings. Ours have 7 petals and are 11 cm / 4.3".

Tie knots, cut tails and weave ends. Get the hooks and beads ready.

Earrings type 1: Attach the hook. Take the bead and using a jump ring attach it on the "neck / body" in the stitch immediately below the flower. Attach the other beads.

Earrings type 2: Instead of attaching below the flower, attach the bead on the petal that comes center down of the length of earring. Choose type that suits you best. We chose the second.

And that is it! Needless to mention that besides easy and fast to make, they are also a perfect last minute gift.

Make Jewelry: Leaves and Flower Earrings - free tutorial

Hello to a beautiful Saturday!
We have the perfect weekend project for you and if you are looking for something to fill in your afternoon with, you are in the right place.

Today, we are making crochet speckled earrings :)

What do you need to make them:

1. Crochet flowers (2) and leaves (6) - (pattern given below)
2. Pearl beads (2)
3. Bead caps (2) and head pins (2)
4. Eye hooks (2)
5. Jump rings (12)
6. Metal chain (10 cm long (3.9") / 5 cm (2") for each earring)

Crochet flowers and leaves  pattern

Flower
To make the flowers and leaves, I used embroidery floss and a 1.7 mm hook.

Ch 5 and join to make ring.
Rnd1: sc 5 in ring
Rnd2: ch3 and sc in the next st. Cut floss, tie a knot and weave ends.

Leaf
Ch 7. Sl st in 2nd st from hook, dc 3, hdc1, sl st 2 in the last stitch. The second sl st is to make the beginning of the other side of the leaf. Work the pattern in reverse from here, that is hdc1, dc3, sl st1, and sl st again at the top of the leaf to end it.

Next,  insert the head pin through the bead cap and insert it through the bead.

Cut the excess pin and use pliers to make a loop.

 Assembly

1. Put jump rings on the flower's top and bottom and attach fish hook and metal chain accordingly (see picture).

2. Attach jump rings to the leaves and hang them onto the chain, leave about 2 chains' space between leaves.

3. Attach a bead onto a jump ring and add it to the chain.

And that is it! I hope you like it and make it for yourself (or as a gift).

Puff Roses Necklace and Earrings - free pattern

I am working on a beige summer blouse that has an intricate pattern, plus it is decorated with flowers, so I thought a minuscule jewelry would be appropriate (if I am not mistaken), one that would not be overly dominating, but still effective, so I made these puff roses. They are quite tiny (see last picture), but immensely beautiful as such.

I documented the process, so you can make them if they catch your eye.

Supplies:
*crochet thread #5 in 3 colors
* 1.70 mm hook
* pearl beads, jump rings, earring hooks, metal chain, lobster clasp.

Puff Rose Pattern:

Foundation and round 1: Ch5 and join to make a ring. Sc4 in ring, then sl st in 1st to make the 5th stitch.
Round 2: ch1 and make a 5dc puff, ch1 and sl st in the next st. Repeat this pattern for all the stitches.When done, leave a long tail that you'll use to sew on the bead and the neighboring flower.

Make 3 flowers in all of the 3 colors. Sew on the beads. Work on the arrangement of colors and then sew the flowers together at the back.

Add jump rings in the center of the set you want for earrings and attach an earring hook. I added a small chain to the bottom of my earrings to make them more interesting, and because I thought they were too bare. I tried adding a bead(s), but it appeared to bulky, and I didn't like how it looked. Attach jump rings on a chain at the side of flowers for the necklace.

Perfect, aren't they? The right thing to make as a last minute gift.

Fern Necklace and Earrings

I was playing with my latest fern pattern to see what it would look like in jewelry and made this necklace and earrings.
For the necklace, instead of a button / bead, I added a flower too.

Now, I will try to see how it will look like appliqued. I just love when a pattern can be used in many ways!
