A bit of color

A bit of color to the end of January, which proved to be a fabulous month!
This is another lariat I made because I couldn't resist the lovely colors, especially the green one.
It fills my soul with sunshine and incites lovely thoughts of green valleys speckled with fragrant flowers.
Oh spring... where art thou?

Did I ever need to see this today! panic has struck these parts as we are in for the worst blizzard in 2 years!, it will strike tomorrow or Groundhog Day. Beautiful piece and I love how it looks on a wooden hanger, I love wooden hangers too!
Spring, where are you???

Oh this is cheerful!
I can't answer your question...yet!
But this week (I think it's tomorrow) there will be Senhora das Candeias' day. And if she smiles (aka there is sun) winter it's still to come and if she crys well then winter is to be finished. So...I'll keep you post it!!

I've heard stories about folk foretelling the weather! Really interesting! Keep me informed!

Dear Maya,
I'm afraid I have bad news: O dia da Senhora das Candeias (Light's Lady day) was today and it was a beautiful and sunny day, she smiled, so...there's a lot of more winter to come!!! :(

That will give us reason for knitting some more :)

They look like actual roses climbing their way upwards! I'm glad you brought us a little spring already, thanks for the bright colours, your description almost makes me smell the flowers! By the way, there's a little something for you on blog, care to come on over? Have a lovely weekend Maya, enjoy! Hugs, Ira x

So bright and cheerful! I'm really getting turned on to lariats -- I'm thinking of doing one in cotton thread (mostly because I love to torture myself...!)
