Retro swimsuits happen to be all the craze nowadays, especially the ones with bra tops and high waisted bottoms.
Personally I find them attractive and cute and although my petite physique isn't made for wearing one, I love pinning and stacking them onto my board here.
If you don't mind getting a '50s glam beach look, I selected some fabulous {and free} retro swimsuit tutorials for you to sew.

Very cute. I don't wear swimsuits much anymore. Have an allergy to the sun so can't even get out and enjoy it like I used to. I caused a lot of damage to my skin during my childhood and into my 20s that I'm paying for now. :(
So sorry to hear that Tammy! I cannot imagine summer without being at the beach, because we all love swimming, but when we are out we try to avoid the sun as much as we can.
These are fun! Love the Retro look.
:)
I too love the beach and the retro bathing suits. I so wish I could sew. I was taught when I was a teen and had no patience for it!
Enjoy the weekend! :)
The retro swim suits are fabulous! Wish they'd look that good on me! lol Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty hope to see you back!
Thank you Julie! I sewed a bikini for Eva several years ago and it was a nice experience considering it was my first time working with spandex.
That makes two of us :l
Thank you for stopping by!
I didn't know you can sew your own bathing clothes at home! Like you, I am petite too and so I don't think they would look good on me either although I would love to wear one of the one-piece bathsuits. They look very cute. :-)
Thank you for this collection of tutorials, they will be handy. I want to give it a try.
