Japanese Spring Fashion

The start of the spring month is the perfect time for one to dream about the awakening of nature and all the changes in colors and smells she is going to bring.

On the topic of spring, I was impressed with the current trend in Japanese fashion. Embroidery is everywhere. Floral embroidery to be more specific.  It is on the  shirts with puffy sleeves, the long skirts, the trousers, the scarves....
All beautifully composed to create a soft and breezy appearance. The colors are not too bold - with the exception of several pieces, but more of a subdued quality ranging from white and beige to gray and blue, but I must admit that together with the choice of fabrics used like lace, gauze and soft cotton, they are desirable and would be perfect for any romantic souls in love with spring.

Last summer I embroidered an apron top for Eva, and a while ago I talked about embroidered jeans. What can I say? I just love that embroidery is going to be a tremendous hit in the coming months.

I too, need all these gorgeous creations in my wardrobe. That dress....oooh la la. The gorgeous white blouse and the pretty striped embroidered blouse, really make my heart skip a few beats! Love the green jumper, so many interesting details. Me thinks I just might be getting out the embroidery threads and see to a little embellishing! Love this post, Maya. It is always a joy to see what designer, or trends in fashion you have discovered.

Maya these are all beautiful pieces. It seems they are adding a bit of the handmade personal touch here. We've had enough of the mass produced look that makes us look like clones.
