For the Debonaire collection, I made three polymer clay necklaces, each different in color and shape and each inspired by a different 1950s movie.
The title says is all. The hot red beads are handmade and following that curvy, denty shape I am obsessed with when I put my hands onto polymer clay. I wanted to add two rows of beads, and actually did, but it is heavy as is, so I discarded the second row.
For the second one, I was inspired by the classic Grease, which I loved as a girl and still do. For this one I played with mustard and dark fuchsia and somehow I am quite drawn to this particular combination this summer and quite eager to dig into crochet and use it.

I didn't know that you made polymer clay beads as well. they look gorgeous - particularly the red ones. I just bought red ceramic beads in organic shapes like this which are heavy but fun. Yours looks much lighter compared to it.

I started making paper and clay beads in high school, being involved in a school art project and it has stuck with me. It' s good to turn to beas making when you can't find the exact beads you need for a project. Do you agree?

Really beautiful! I can't tell you how many times I've bought clay to make something with but by the time I actually decide to do it, the clay is so dried out it's not even salvageable with water. :/
Thank you Tammy! I don't let that happen.Jacob usually uses up a small portion of a whole block for his Art classes, so I see to it - make beads or plates/ bowls for succulents. Hate to throw a good block of clay!
