Brontë Crochet Cuff

Update: the pattern for this cuff is here.

When I finished this top I was left with a considerable amount of yarn which I was eager to try with other projects. So far I made a head / neck scarf, a necklace and this cuff.
I drafted  a new cuff design, with small ruffles and was quite excited to see what it would look like with this shiny, mercerized yarn, which was divine to work with.

I bought it on our last trip to Istanbul, along with a light blue one, and now I want to kick myself in the rear for not buying more of the same yarn. I cannot even remember if there were other colors, and it's better that I don't, because I would be even more disappointed. However, we plan to go back to Istanbul in the future (hopefully the pandemic will be over by then) and I know what shop will be on my priority list :)

That is delightful you do such creative pieces. Now if only we could wear all our pretty pieces somewhere, well one day. Hope you are keeping safe and sound in these times.

Thank you so much! I am going to glam myself up, once school starts. Even for distance teaching :)

This is a lovely cuff, Maya. I hope you return to Istanbul sooner rather later, but I am thinking it will be a very long while till we can safely travel to faraway places.

Thank you Kim! That is the sad truth. However, the never flailing optimist in me is hopeful :)

Bronte is such an appropriate name! Just finished reading "Jane Eyre" for the first time since 1985 and I fell in love again!

I love the colour scheme and pearl beads as much as the name you chose for it. Another Brontë fan here!

I had Jane Eyre as obligatory reading at uni. Loved it to pieces. Recommended it to grandma who was 75. She loved it too, got hooked on the Brontes and read everything by them :)
