Crochet delight necklace tutorial

This is the tutorial with which I presented myself at Maries Cozy Corner.

I call it the Crochet delight necklace tutorial.
For this necklace I used some wooden rings left from a model making project.

I crocheted all around the rings .

As you can see, I used all the pinks and purples for this one! Work on the colors and the design.
When I work on my necklaces I want to step out a bit further and make it unusual so this was no exception. It is tilted on one side. When you finish crocheting, sew the pieces together.

Attach jump rings and that's it!

Your new exciting necklace is finished in less than 30 minutes!

This project reminded me of my childhood when we used to do this with plastic rings for intricate wall ornaments. I hope you enjoyed it!

Who would have thought it was so easy! Thank you for explaining! Now all you need to explain us is how to come up with such amazing color combinations ;-)

Such a lovely necklace Maya! I'm a circle lover so this is very appealing to me even though I don't wear jewelry! And I like the fact that you upcycled some wooden hoops to make it too. Way to recycle!

Looks very pretty...can you tell me how do start crocheting on the ring?

Where do I find wooden rings like this? This is a must-have for myself and an interesting gift for others.

Maya Kuzman said...

Katy: You may find these in a craft store or if you want to put more effort in it, you may buy plywood and cut out rings yourself.

How do I crochet onto the ring??? Do i make a slip not around a part and single crochet?

Maya Kuzman said...

@Shellybearrocks
Of course you have to make a slip knot - how else would you do it?
Here's something that will help you:
