Fashion Trend: Embroidered Jeans

Zara

Will you be surprised if I told you that I haven't been aware of the fashion trends being all the craze for months? Well, I have. Luckily I've got Eva to tell me all about the fashion yays or nays - not that I care too much, but I am fantastic at feigning interest :)

But this one really poked the romantic crouching in me! Embroidered jeans!
Eva sent me a photo -  trying on such in a fitting room and my jaw dropped - because they were gorgeous! I would gladly show you the photo, but for modesty's sake,  I'll show you some other examples of what companies offer on the market.

Zara

 Desigual

Topshop

Polyvore

What I really like is that most of them are high-waisted jeans - thank God for that. Call me old-fashioned, but I cannot stand and absolutely detest and shudder at seeing low-waisted jeans. As for the embroidery - personally I like the ones with a small embroidery on the side of the leg. The heavily embroidered ones are beautiful too, but definitely not something I would wear.

How about you? What do you think of this fashion trend? Yay or Nay? Would you wear such jeans yourself?

Hi Maya! Wow, these embroidered jeans are so cool and perfect for spring. My favorite are the ones in the second picture.

Well, styles return and I remember this being pretty big in the 70s. I am short waisted and those low waist jeans fit me just right. I am currently thinking it would be great to embroider a jeans jacket.

I know they have been quite a hit then Carol. Just talked with my mother on the phone and she recalls having a pair herself. We have to go through old photo albums and try to find any pictures with those jeans. That would be fun!

Hello Maya,
already came across the embroidered jeans fabric and was highly tempted to buy some and sew myself a skirt. Maybe I will after all, because it is lovely indeed!
Have a great weekend,

I bought some embroidered jeans from Zara last year, and I absolutely love them. They are a nice mid rise and very comfortable (thin/stretchy denim).

I've seen some beautiful embroidered jackets, but I'm trying to tell myself that one embroidered item is enough...

If I do it, it would definitely be a DIY :)

I love them. I pinned a pair from A department store site a few years ago and it is still one of my top pins. Thank you for sharing at Home Sweet Home!
